Indian Head Massage Beginners

Indian head Massage Distance Learning Course:

This course has been written to give you a thorough grounding and understanding in all aspects of Indian Head Massage. Many people believe that to learn the massage is enough, we however don’t believe this to be true. In order for you to be a GOOD therapist you do need to have some knowledge at least, of how the body works. So in this course you will cover not only all the treatment information but also all the relevant Anatomy & Physiology. We also recommend that as you learn the more hands on aspects, you practice, practice, practice. Whether you are just sitting down with someone and practicing your consultation skills or actually applying the massage, the more different, willing volunteers you can muster up the better, because believe me when you come to treat that first paying client, the nerves will kick in and you will be so thankful you took the time to master your new skills.

During the course you will cover the following:

What is Indian Head Massage? The History of Indian Head Massage Benefits of this treatment - Anatomy & Physiology - Contra indications – Contra actions

Various oils and their uses -Massage Techniques – Scalp, Face, Neck and Shoulder massage - Health & safety Hygienic practice - Treatment set up – Client consultation - After care advice

Each subject will be delivered via email or post depending upon your requested delivery format and will have an accompanying test paper. You will be required, at your own pace, to study and work through the easy to follow lessons. When you feel competent, you can complete your test paper and return it for immediate marking. Upon receiving the test paper we will mark it and return the result along with the next lesson.

Upon the completion of all your lessons you will be given time to revise, again you set this time frame, you will then request your final exam paper. You will be allowed a maximum of 2 days to complete and return your exam paper. Once you have successfully completed this course you will be awarded with a full Diploma in Indian Head Massage and your certificate will be posted out to you within 7 days of receiving your exam paper.
